  7. Extract the archive and read ReadMe.1st before proceeding.  This release
  8. of Yak is a maintenance release.
  9.  
  10. For those of you that don't know yak, here's the start of Yak.doc:
  11.  
  12. Yak stands for "Yet Another Kommodity" (never was any good at speling), and
  13. is a mouse/window manipulation program along the same lines as DMouse,
  14. MightyMouse etc.
  15.  
  16. Why write another one? None of the others (and I've looked at almost all of
  17. them) were quite right for me. Yak has the following features:
  18.  
  19.     - AutoPoint (sunmouse) that only activates when mouse stops;
  20.           can also specify which screens to include/exclude.
  21.       (Compatible with popup-menu type programs)
  22.  
  23.     - AutoPop windows (bring them to front) when they're
  24.           auto-activated; 
  25.  
  26.     - KeyActivate windows (when key pressed);
  27.  
  28.     - Activate windows when menu button pressed;
  29.  
  30.     - Click windows to front or back;
  31.       may also specify which screens/windows to include/exclude.
  32.  
  33.     - Cycle screens with mouse;
  34.  
  35.     - Mouse and Screen blanking (hotkey blanking too);
  36.  
  37.     - Close/Zip/Shrink/Enlarge windows with programmable hotkeys;
  38.  
  39.     - Cycle screens and windows from keyboard;
  40.  
  41.     - Activate Workbench by hotkey (to get at menus when WB obscured);
  42.  
  43.     - Center frontmost screen by pressing a hotkey;
  44.  
  45.     - Pop up a palette on front screen (requires reqtools.library);
  46.  
  47.     - Insert date in custom format (requires locale.library in WB2.1);
  48.  
  49.     - KeyClick with adjustable volume;
  50.  
  51.     - PopCommand key for starting a command (like PopCLI);
  52.  
  53.     - Wildstar option (like StarBurst) lets you use '*' as wildcard.
  54.  
  55.     - Optional on-screen AppIcon to bring up preferences window.

  65. Yak is freely redistributable, copyrighted software. The source is included,
  66. and you are permitted to modify it for personal use, but any modifications
  67. made must NOT be distributed. If you have made changes you think others
  68. would like, send them to me and I'll include them in future versions.

  70. Although Yak is freeware, donations would be gladly accepted, either money
  71. or stuff you've written yourself. I would be grateful if you would let me
  72. know if you use Yak, so I can judge whether it's worth releasing upgrades.

  78.  v1.4a    * Added RMB Activate toggle - window under mouse is activated when
  79.       right mouse button pressed.

  81.     * New improved mouse-blanking: Method 'Sprites' is same as before,
  82.           but method 'Copper' has been completely rewritten; it still only
  83.           blanks sprite 0, but is now compatible with LacePointer.

  85.     - Completely removed AutoThresh code due to compatibility problems,
  86.       but RMB Activate takes over the main usefulness of AutoThresh
  87.       anyway (i.e. getting the correct menus up).
